OTTAWA, March 14, 2012 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and PK Trading Inc. are warning people with allergies to milk or soy not to consume the Frito Lay Cheetos products described below. The affected products contain milk and soy which are not declared on the label.
All codes of the following Frito Lay brand Cheetos products, product of Korea, are affected by this alert:
These products have been distributed in Ontario and Manitoba.
There have been no reported allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or soy.
The importer, PK Trading Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
