KINGSTON, Ontario, April 25, 2014 – Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that work is scheduled on the LaSalle Causeway on April 26 and 27. The work will include intermittent delays and overnight/early morning closure, as per the following schedule:
- Saturday, April 26, 2014
- Several brief lifts scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and noon. Lifts will last approximately five minutes.
- Sunday, April 27, 2014
- Overnight closure from midnight to 4:00 a.m.
Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will not be affected by this work. These closures are necessary to complete inspections of lift mechanisms, span locks and buffers.
The schedule may change due to inclement weather or logistical requirements. Updated notices will be issued as required.
