For the 32nd year, the Acadian Festival of Wedgeport will bring people together in Yarmouth County to celebrate and promote Acadian culture and the French language.
The Acadian Festival Association of Wedgeport has received $2,000 from the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program for the 2014 festival, taking place from July 26 to 28.
Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
The Acadian Festival of Wedgeport aims to highlight the vibrancy and strength of Acadian culture and the French language. Activities during the Festival will include a series of concerts with local artists and workshops on Acadian life, both past and modern-day.
