The Canadian Human Rights Commission welcomes the appointment by Order in Council of Tara Erskine as a new part-time Commissioner effective May 9, 2014.
Ms. Erskine brings a background in labour and employment law and experience dealing with human rights tribunals, grievance arbitration boards and various levels of courts. . She is a partner in the law firm McInnes Cooper in Halifax, NS. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a past Chair of the National Labour and Employment Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association. Ms. Erskine is also a member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia and is a Certified Human Resource Professional.
