May 29, 2014 – Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia – Canadian Heritage
Participants attending a conference in Tatamagouche from May 1 to 4 had access to discussions in both official languages. Organized by Slow Food Northumberland Shore, this conference on preserving local, traditional cuisine and agriculture was able to provide a translation and simultaneous interpretation service with the $2,971 in funding it had received. Scott Armstrong, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Social Development and Member of Parliament (Cmberland–Colchester–Musquodoboit Valley), announced this support today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
