July18, 2014 – Gatineau, Quebec – Department of Canadian Heritage
Canadian Heritage, in collaboration with exclusive sponsor Manulife, is proud to announce that as of tonight, over one million spectators have experienced the sights and sounds of the current edition of the sound and light show on Parliament Hill, Mosaika: Canada Through the Eyes of its People. This major milestone comes as Mosaika’s very successful run moves through its final season.
Mosaika, which launched in July 2010, is a free 30-minute bilingual experience that uses spectacular lighting effects, stunning animated projections, and a rich tapestry of words, music and sounds to tell the story of Canada using the historic backdrop of the Peace Tower and Centre Block.
“Mosaika has attracted Canadians and international visitors from all walks of life because it tells a compelling story about our collective history and achievements. We hope those who experience the show on Parliament Hill leave with a sense of pride and a better understanding of who we are as Canadians.”
