Well, first of all, I just want to welcome everybody here today.
I’m joined by my colleague, Member of Parliament Dean Allison, by our hosts here at Forty Creek Distillery, John Hall, Jayson Myers and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters and a number of obviously important local business interests.
We’re here to discuss obviously the affairs of the economy and more specifically the opportunities that are presented by the recent trade agreements we’ve signed, in particular the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, which I know has been instrumental in the partnership that Forty Creek has entered into with some Italian partners.
So it’s just the beginning of many good things.
We have next week the Presidents of the European Union and also the President of Korea visiting us and we’ll have a chance then to obviously continue to move forward, celebrate what we’ve done, mark the milestones and continue to move forward.
In the meantime, as I say, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join with this distinguished group of business people to discuss the opportunities that this presents, both for the region and for the country more broadly.
So thank you, everybody, for attending and thank you for your interest in the media in this.
Thank you.
