Government of Canada provides funding to the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research

The Government of Canada is providing $59,700 in funding to the Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research to translate 27 books of its early reading program into Michif-language editions with English translations.
Kelly Block, Member of Parliament (Saskatoon–Rosetown–Biggar), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. This funding is being provided through the Aboriginal Languages Initiative.
