The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), today announced repayable funding of over $25,000 for Matos Winery to expand their building for additional equipment to increase wine making capacity and create new products.
Quick Facts:
- The Government of Canada is supporting this project with a repayable contribution of $25,240 through ACOA’s Business Development Program.
- Through this expansion Matos Winery will also have the capacity to introduce new products including Orange Brandy and Apple Brandy in future years.
- The winery has won numerous awards for its products, including Canadian Wine Awards, Atlantic Canadian Wine Awards, and the 2014 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.
