Telelink enhances infrastructure and strategic marketing initiatives to drive productivity and grow customer base

A local St. John’s business that began operations 50 years ago as a switch-board enabled answering service continues to exceed industry standards and customer expectations by complementing its market-leading managed services with specialized emergency and safety solutions to the energy sector. With assistance from the Government of Canada, Telelink is moving the company forward with its latest strategic marketing plans and upgrades to its top-notch technology infrastructure.
The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador and Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) today announced a repayable contribution of almost $500,000 from the Government of Canada, through ACOA, for Telelink. The funding is supporting upgrades to existing infrastructure and technology, as well as increased sales and marketing efforts to other markets in North America.
Originally founded in 1965 as Answer Telephone Service Limited, Telelink has evolved and grown to deliver solutions for their customers both nationally and internationally. With the Government of Canada’s assistance through ACOA, the company has developed tactical sales and marketing plans, increased strategic advertising activities and developed strategic partnerships in key markets. The federal investment has also enabled Telelink to upgrade their world-class IT infrastructure, complete with redundancy back-up and increased server capacity, all to better meet the needs of their growing customer base.
