OTTAWA – Twenty-three business, government and educational institutions from across Canada were honoured by the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces for their support of Canada’s Reservists at the Eleventh Biennial National Employer Support Awards held yesterday at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
Defence Minister Jason Kenney, Lieutenant-General Guy Thibault, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, and members of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council were among the 150 guests in attendance at the event. Mr. Rex Murphy, renowned journalist, commentator and author, was the special guest speaker for the gala, held amidst the historic military collection of the Canadian War Museum's LeBreton Gallery.
