Funding to improve facilities for Canadian Armed Forces personnel in Canada is possible through the new Federal Infrastructure Investments Program

OTTAWA – Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Orleans, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, today announced a $3.9-million investment for upgrades and repairs to three Department of National Defence facilities in Ottawa.
The investment, in support of the Canadian Armed Forces, will take place over the next two years and includes:
- a $1.87-million project at Canadian Forces Station Leitrim to repair the fire-suppression system;
- a $1.49-million remediation project at the Connaught Range to safely dispose of ordnance; and
- a $513,000 project to replace an existing septic system at Canadian Forces Support Unit (Ottawa) with new tanks, treatment system, pumping station and septic bed.
