Backgrounder: Whitehorse residents benefit from community infrastructure projects


The governments of Canada and Yukon, along with the City of Whitehorse, celebrated the completion of seven community infrastructure projects.

The projects are as follows:

Replace the reservoir entrance with a raised weather tight structure



Storm Sewer Burns Road

Improve the storm water system at Burns Road



Porter Creek Connector Path

Construct a 500-metre active transportation route from McIntyre Creek ending at the base of the Pine St Connection



Schwatka Lake Plane/Boat Launch Replacement

Re-construct the boat/plane launch
