Backgrounder: Government of Canada confirms appointment of Lesley Antoun as member of Board of Directors of Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated

Backgrounder

Ms. Lesley Antoun was appointed to the Board of Directors of The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), effective December 18, 2020. Her extensive experience as an entrepreneur, a manager and a partnership facilitator will be a significant asset to the organization in carrying out its mandate.

As a member of JCCBI’s Board of Directors, Ms. Antoun will contribute to the strategic direction and overall management of the corporation. Her responsibilities will include, among others, the management of the organization’s resources, services and contracts, performance monitoring and risk management, including security and environmental risks.

A seasoned entrepreneur and manager, Ms. Antoun brings with her more than 25 years’ experience managing stakeholders, programs and risk and developing partnerships with multinationals, private companies and First Nations organizations. She also has considerable experience serving on boards of directors, including the board of the Concordia University Alumni Association, of which she has been a member since September 2020.

In 2016, Ms. Antoun started her own consulting firm after working 16 years in various management positions at Bombardier Inc. Earlier in her career, she was an engineering consultant for FM Global.  

Ms. Antoun holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategy and Finance from McGill University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University.
