Media advisory

Montreal, Québec, April 30, 2021 – Media representatives are invited to a virtual press conference during which the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and Member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre, the Honourable Catherine McKenna, and the Minister for Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Isabelle Charest, will make an announcement concerning recreational and sports infrastructure in the region.

For the occasion, they will be accompanied by the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Indigenous Services, Minister Responsible for Transport, Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and Montréal Region and Chantal Rouleau, Member of the National Assembly for Pointe-aux-Trembles and Jocelyn Pauzé, Councillor Responsible for Resident Services and Worksite Management at the City of Montreal.

The conference will also be broadcast on the Facebook page Au Québec, on bouge!.

Instructions for participating in the event :

  • Media representatives wishing to participate in the event must pre-register, indicating whether they will be attending on site or via the Zoom platform, by emailing relationsmedias@education.gouv.qc.ca before 9 a. m. on Monday morning, May 3. Only those who have received confirmation of their registration will be able to attend the press conference.
  • All information required to log in to the press conference will be sent by email.
  • Only one journalist per media outlet will be able to participate in the press conference. 
  • Please note that a maximum of 12 journalists will be allowed to attend the press conference. 
  • Two cameras for all media (camera pool) and two photographers will be allowed on site. Media representatives must bring their media credentials.

People attending the press conference should not have symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with the disease within the last 14 days. Great importance will be attached to the observance of physical distancing and other hygiene measures. Note that wearing a face mask is mandatory.
