Backgrounder: The governments of Canada and Quebec provide funding for 12 recreational and sports projects in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region
Backgrounder
Joint federal, provincial and municipal funding is being awarded for 12 recreational and sports infrastructure projects to be carried out in communities in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. These projects include building or renovating indoor and outdoor recreational facilities.
The Government of Canada is investing $3,771,020 in theses projects through the Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Quebec is also investing $3,771,020 under its Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives et sportives [financial assistance program for recreational and sports infrastructure]. Municipalities and other partners will be contributing $4,294,569.79.
