Backgrounder: The Governments of Canada and Quebec invest in eight sports and recreational projects in the Centre-du-Québec Region 

Backgrounder

Joint federal, provincial and municipal funding is being allocated to eight recreational and sports infrastructure projects that will be completed in communities in the Centre-du-Québec Region. These projects include building or renovating recreational facilities and redeveloping parks.

The Government of Canada is investing $5,419,291.50 in these projects through the Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure stream under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Quebec is also investing $5,419,291.50 under its Financial Assistance Program for Recreational and Sports Infrastructure. The municipalities or other partners will also be contributing $9,534,586.05.
