Drummondville (Quebec), May 27, 2021 – Media representatives are invited to a press conference during which the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke, Ms. Élisabeth Brière, and the Minister of Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Ms. Isabelle Charest, will make an announcement concerning recreational and sports infrastructures in the Centre-du-Québec region.

For the occasion, they will be accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Minister responsible for the Centre-du-Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions and Member of Parliament for Johnson, Mr. André Lamontagne; the Deputy Government House Leader and Member of Parliament for Drummond-Bois-Francs, Sébastien Schneeberger; the municipal councilor for district No. 11 of the City of Drummondville, Mr. Daniel Pelletier; and the chair of the board of directors of the Centre Communautaire de Loisirs Claude-Nault, Ms. Denise Picotin.

Instructions for participating in the event :

The maxim number of journalists allowed, including cameras is 20. Media representatives wishing to participate in the event must pre-register, indicating that they wish to attend the event, by emailing relationsmedias@education.gouv.qc.ca. A notice confirming your presence will be forwarded to you.

People attending the press conference should not have symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with the disease within the last 14 days. Great importance will be attached to the observance of physical distancing and other hygiene measures. Note that wearing a face mask is mandatory.
