Canada and Saskatchewan invest to upgrade drinking water and wastewater infrastructure

The Government of Canada is investing more than $12.7 million in 4 projects under the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The Government of Saskatchewan is contributing over $10.8 million. Contributions by recipients toward their respective projects are $7.7 million. In total, this represents a combined infrastructure investment of more than $31.3 million. Funding recipients are responsible for any additional project costs.

Construct a new water treatment plant & 2 new groundwater wells, upgrade 4 existing wells, a wastewater lagoon, potable water storage, and distribution pumps, install both potable and non-potable pipeline and establish connection points for delivery for each community

Build 3 new holding, re-chlorination & distribution facilities at Nut Point, Waden Bay, and Nemeibein Campgrounds, modify current distribution networks, replace the existing surface water treatment plants & other associated works

Reconstruct the park's single cell facultative lagoon into a two-cell lagoon, performing associated works like raising existing cell berms and refurbishing other existing structures
