Biographical notes

Sandra Martel is reappointed as JCCBI’s Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term. Ms. Martel has a background as an engineer and began her career in building design, then in research and development at the Université de Sherbrooke's Faculty of Engineering. She has also held various positions, notably in project and personnel management, at Expertech and Bell Canada. She joined JCCBI in 2006 and has since held several positions within the organization in areas such as engineering, planning, information technology and asset planning. She has held the position of Chief Executive Officer for the past 5 years.  Ms. Martel has also sat on the board of directors of Université de Sherbrooke’s Foundation since 2019 and also became ambassador of Université de Sherbrooke’s Faculty of Engineering that same year.

Sylvain Villiard will act as Chair of the Board for the coming year, or until a new chair is appointed. Mr. Villiard is a lawyer and manager with extensive government experience. Among other things, he provides management and legal advice to various organizations in Quebec's healthcare and corporate sectors. He was also Assistant Director General of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), where he led the hospital's modernization project. He also has an excellent knowledge of public-private partnership agreements, construction contracts, professional service contracts and related issues. He has been a member of JCCBI's Board of Directors since June 15, 2017.

Lesley Antoun is reappointed as Director to the Board for a four-year term. Mrs. Antoun has a background in business administration and mechanical engineering, She has over 25 years of experience in stakeholder, program and risk management and partnership development with multinationals, private corporations and First Nations organizations. She started her own consulting business in 2016. She also held various management positions for 16 years at Bombardier Inc. and was an engineering consultant at FM Global. She became a member of the JCCBI Board of Directors on December 18, 2020.

Henri-Jean Bonnis is reappointed as Director to the Board for a four-year term. Mr. Bonnis has expertise in project management and large-scale transformations, including those with a strong political component. He has served as Founding President and managing director of the strategic consultancy firm Adsum Consulting Group since 2014. Over the years, he has worked as a strategic advisor for a number of organizations, including Investissements PSP, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Fondaction, Hydro-Québec, Banque Nationale Groupe Financier and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. He has been a member of the JCCBI Board of Directors since June 18, 2019.
