Parks Canada Announces Complimentary Weekend Shuttle Service in Banff National Park

Shuttle service to upper Lake Louise runs from Canada Day to Labour Day

Parks Canada is pleased to offer a complimentary shuttle service to upper Lake Louise on weekends from Canada Day, July 1 to Labour Day, September 5. The Government of Canada is committed to exploring new and innovative ways to help Canadians experience their national parks. The weekend shuttle service will reduce traffic and parking congestion, making for a more enjoyable experience for visitors who want to explore and connect with Canada’s first national park. 

Visitors can catch the weekend shuttle service from the Lake Louise overflow parking lot located 5 km east of Lake Louise and 50 km west of Banff. The shuttle service is available between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. MDT. Plan ahead to make the most of your time at the most popular destination in Banff National Park.

For those planning to visit nearby Moraine Lake during the fall larch season, the annual, complimentary, weekend shuttle service will run from September 10 to September 25.
