Board Member Complaint Resolution Process
The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) has a duty to accommodate and respond to complainants who raise concerns with the Professional Standards Section (PSS).
PBC Board members are held to high standards of conduct, as specified in the Board Members’ Code of Professional Conduct (Board Members’ Code).
The PBC’s Board Member Complaint Resolution Process addresses concerns regarding alleged behaviour inconsistent with the Board Members’ Code. It also establishes procedures and timelines in addressing a complaint.
A complaint may only be submitted about a Board member in relation to:
- Professional conduct;
- Security protocols;
- Inappropriate use of PBC resources and assets; and
- Collegiality
