Procurement Advisor (PG-04)

Position Details

The Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS), operated by Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR), supports world-class Arctic research and strengthens Canada's leadership in polar science and technology. We are seeking a Procurement Advisor to join our Corporate Services team.

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement and Materiel Management, the Procurement Advisor provides expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on the acquisition of goods and services. The incumbent plans, coordinates and administers procurement activities, interprets Government of Canada procurement legislation and policies, develops procurement strategies, prepares solicitation and contract documentation, and helps ensure procurement activities are conducted fairly, transparently and in accordance with applicable legislation and policy. The position also contributes to material management activities and works closely with clients to support the delivery of organizational priorities.

Experience

Candidates must demonstrate experience in all of the following criteria. In addition, candidates must demonstrate significant* experience in at least three (3) of the five criteria listed below:

Significant experience is defined as a minimum of three (3) years of experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
