Prairies Performing Arts Initiative (PPAI) - 3. Before you apply
Intake period
The intake period for the Prairie Performing Arts Initiative is now closed. Applications received and acknowledged by PrairiesCan prior to the intake period closing will be evaluated subject to remaining funding.
All projects must be completed by March 31, 2027.
3. Before you apply
The PPAI program uses a 2-stage timed intake approach to which you may apply until February 1, 2025:
- Expression of interest (EOI): An abbreviated online application form allows you to describe the proposed project purpose, rationale, eligibility, activities and budget. Eligible projects may be invited to advance to a full application.
- Full application: The application, accessible through invitation only, allows you to provide more details about your project.
To ensure a strong application, it is important that you:
- Ensure the eligibility of your organization, and the activities of the proposed project by reviewing the information detailed under “2. Who is eligible”. If you are still unsure, contact PrairiesCan to discuss your eligibility.
- Read the program materials as described on this website to obtain an understanding of what will be expected from you in terms of application requirements and process.
- Identify someone from your organization to be a project lead or primary contact that PrairiesCan will engage with as the project is assessed and implemented.
- Gather all the mandatory documentation that PrairiesCan is requesting for the Expression of Interest (EOI). This will ensure that PrairiesCan will have the information necessary to review your EOI. Should your project advance, further documentation will be required for the full application.
Please reference the EOI help guide for instructions on how to complete the expression of interest form while completing the EOI form and refer to the applicant guide for instructions on how to complete the full application form while completing the application form.
