Who can apply
Eligible recipients include:
- businesses within, or positioning themselves in, the defence supply chain
- not-for-profit organizations that support businesses (e.g., ecosystem services or research centres), that respond or could respond to a military need
- Indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
Additional eligibility information
Incorporated businesses
To be eligible for this program, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- be incorporated to conduct business in the Prairies
- be a business within, or positioning themselves in, the defence supply chain
- have been in operation for at least 2 years
- have staffed operating facilities in the Prairie provinces
- have confirmed, at the time of application submission, funding from all other sources, including government and non-government
- be capable of entering into legally binding agreements
Not-for-profit organizations
To be eligible for this program, not-for-profit organizations must meet all of the following criteria:
- be a not-for-profit organization including post-secondary educational institutions, research centres, business accelerators and incubators, industry associations and consortia, and provincial and municipal authorities
- be capable of entering into legally binding agreements
- have an operating presence in the Prairies
Indigenous applicants
Eligible Indigenous organizations include Indigenous-led not-for-profits and organizations which include but are not limited to First Nations as represented by their Chief and Council, Métis Settlements, Tribal Councils, Indigenous Representative Organizations, Métis and Inuit organizations, as well as Indigenous/First Nation/Métis Settlement owned businesses.
