COVID-19: Wear a well-constructed, well-fitting and properly worn mask or respirator
Transcript
A horizontal line divides the video screen in two.
On both the top and bottom screens a breathing manikin is seen in a black room wearing a shirt with the word “Canada” printed on it. Both manikins exhale respiratory particles that appear as white smoke at the same intervals.
Narration: A well-constructed, well-fitting and properly worn mask or respirator can help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
On the top of the screen, the manikin is wearing a respirator improperly, covering the mouth only and leaving the nose exposed. Smoke clearly comes out of the nose and makes its way across the screen. The text on screen says: “IMPROPERLY Worn”
On the bottom of the screen, the respirator on the manikin shows it being properly worn, completely covering the mouth, nose and chin with no visible gaps. No smoke is seen escaping the mask. The text on screen says: “PROPERLY Worn”
Narration: Masks can help contain your respiratory particles and prevent or reduce the potential amount of infectious particles you inhale. Learn more about masks and other individual public health measures at Canada.ca/coronavirus
