Specific arrangement for sub-delegation to the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise
The Deputy Head of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) may sub-delegate her appointment and appointment-related authorities to any office holder of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE).
This arrangement is effective June 20, 2019, with the following terms and conditions:
- The Deputy Head of GAC will remain accountable to the Public Service Commission (PSC) for all appointment and appointment-related decisions made by the CORE and by any sub-delegated persons of the Office of the CORE under this specific arrangement.
- It is understood that the CORE and any sub-delegated persons of the Office of the CORE will complete the required staffing training as identified in GAC’s sub-delegation instrument, before they may be sub-delegated appointment and appointment-related authorities.
- Authorities will be sub-delegated and exercised in accordance with the Appointment Delegation and Accountability Instrument and any conditions, limitations and/or restrictions imposed by the PSC.
- As part of their organizational monitoring, GAC is expected to monitor the use of sub-delegated authorities by the CORE and by any sub-delegated persons of the Office of the CORE under this specific arrangement.
