Hiring process

The candidates must have successfully completed the first round of interviews, including reference checks, and the second round of interviews in Ottawa with senior government officials.
- Contact the Public Service Commission
- To hire a candidate from the RPL's partially-assessed pool of candidates, please contact the Public Service Commission (PSC) at cfp.rlp-rpl.psc@cfp-psc.gc.ca.
- The PSC will indicate which candidates from the partially-assessed pool are available for consideration.
- Obtain Public Service Commission priority clearance
- Complete a request for priority clearance through the Priority Information Management System.
- Please contact your organization's human resources advisor for assistance.
- Assess the Recruitment of Policy Leaders candidate
- While certain merit criteria have already been assessed through RPL, candidates must be assessed against your organization's Statement of Merit Criteria to ensure that they meet all the merit criteria, including those stated in the Qualification Standards of the respective occupational group and all the conditions of employment (e.g., security clearance).
