Buy Clean Strategy

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is working with Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Centre for greening government, National Resources Canada, Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, Innovation, Science and Economic Development and the National Research Council to develop a buy clean strategy for Canada infrastructure projects
The strategy will implement a dedicated team to support PSPC and other departments infrastructure projects targeting climate action
One of the first steps will be to work with the TBS Centre for greening government to identify projects within PSPC to be early adopters of low-carbon concrete design
As part of the strategy, there will be proposed approaches for accelerating a buy clean strategy in infrastructure projects
Further research and consultations will be conducted to explore Canadian made furniture products and opportunities to further advance sustainability criteria. Canadian-made furniture can be prioritized in order to contribute to sustainability targets
