In close partnership with fellow parliamentary colleagues, we are carrying out major infrastructure work within Canada’s Parliamentary Precinct to renew some of our country’s most important heritage treasures for future generations of Canadians and to ensure that they meet the needs of a 21st century Parliament
The historic transition of Parliament in 2018 from the Centre Block to the newly restored West Block and Senate of Canada Building was a major milestone in our collective efforts
Together, we are now focused on restoring and modernizing the iconic Centre Block and revitalizing the city block facing Parliament Hill, transforming the precinct into an integrated campus
These important investments are making the precinct greener, safer and more accessible while creating significant employment and skills development opportunities for Canadians across the country
Key decisions are required in the next few months, including those that could impact the physical heritage of the Centre Block and the way parliament has traditionally operated
My team and I are ready to engage in any way that would supply informed and integrated decision making. I want to work with you to ensure the continued success of this plan
