GCcoworking Initiative: Flexible workplaces for the public service
Over the past several years, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has piloted GCcoworking sites across Canada. The goal was to test shared workplace solutions that support hybrid work and unassigned seating.
The pilot successfully demonstrated the value of shared workplace solutions, and as workplace needs evolve to support increased on-site presence, the sites will transition to federal organizations.
Effective September 30, 2026, GCcoworking sites will be assigned to federal organizations. This will help meet workplace capacity needs and support the increased on-site presence directive.
Current GCcoworking sites will remain open as usual until September 30, 2026. Users can continue to access and book workspaces using current processes.
