Overview

The CGSB provides certification services to help government organizations reach their goals and continuously improve. CGSB certifies quality management systems, as well as qualifies security companies against performance and quality standards.

ISO 9001 Quality management system

The CGSB is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada to assess and certify the quality management systems of government organizations against the ISO 9001 standard. This independent and impartial assessment provides organizations with a clear, recognized process to increase and demonstrate quality. It confirms that:

Security guard company qualification

The Security Guard Company Qualification program is for security personnel companies looking to qualify their training and supply to provide security services for the Government of Canada.

The program is designed to provide a list of suppliers that meet performance standards based on the National Standard of Canada CAN/CGSB 133.1-2017: Security officers and security officer supervisors.

It provides a convenient, cost-effective way for companies to demonstrate their compliance with industry-recognized standards.

Phase I of program: Training of security officers and supervisors
