Canada’s research funding ecosystem

There are four different ribbons that link to a circle in the middle of the page. The green ribbon says CIHR supports the discoveries and innovations that improve our health and strengthen our health-care system.

The red ribbon says NSERC funds visionaries, explorers and innovators who are searching for the scientific and technological breakthroughs that will benefit our country.

The purple ribbon says SSHRC invests in research and talent that builds deeper knowledge of human cultures and behaviour to strengthen socio-economic prosperity and well-being in society.

The blue ribbon says the CFI invests in research infrastructure so researchers have the cutting-edge facilities, laboratories and equipment they need to push the frontiers of knowledge in all disciplines, to discover and to innovate.
