To ensure the success of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change we must carefully oversee its implementation, take stock of progress achieved and report transparently to Canadians.
The road ahead
The Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change is Canada’s plan to reduce emissions and grow our economy. For our plan to succeed, it will require coordinated action across all regions and sectors of the economy. Together our federal, provincial and territorial ministers will work to support and monitor the implementation of the Framework. And this will include a wide range of ministers, from the environment to energy and mines, to finance, innovation and economic development.
What success will look like
With regular and transparent progress updates on the Pan-Canadian Framework, federal, provincial and territorial governments across Canada will communicate to Canadians and the world what actions are being taken – and the progress that is being achieved – towards meeting our clean growth and climate change goals. This will provide greater certainty for people and businesses in Canada to help better plan for the future and identify opportunities for clean growth in the transition to a low-carbon future.
