Networks and Security
  • Foundational investments in Network Modernization
  • Increased Secure Remote Access
  • Increased system-wide bandwidth and introduced split tunnelling to reroute MS Teams traffic and improve performance
  • Continue network modernization and leverage commercial Wi-Fi
  • Accelerate an integrated cyber security project and move towards Zero Trust solutions
  • Strengthen cyber security posture of small departments and agencies
  • Reduce dependency on legacy infrastructure by moving towards software defined networks
Enterprise Tools
  • Rolled-out MS Teams to all federal public servants
  • Migrated Streams 1 and 2 partners to MS365 email, as part of the Digital Communications and Collaboration initiative
  • Enabled cloud video interoperability videoconferencing solutions in 7,400 rooms across Canada
  • Migrated email services for 32 partnersenabled by M365
  • Migrate Stream 3 partners to MS365 email as part of Digital Communications and Collaboration 
  • Continue to experiment with and roll out cloud video interoperability to all partners
  • Launch Softphone service to reduce fixed lines and provide a modern telephony service
