What program evaluation is
In the Evaluation Directorate, we ensure neutral and independent evaluations of the relevance , effectiveness and efficiency of SSC programs and we report to the President and to the Executive Oversight Board.
As an employee within the Evaluation Directorate, your work will have a real influence on the quality of programs and services offered to Canadians.
Evaluations serve to:
- Inform decision making and confirm results that are achieved
- Facilitate learning and innovation
- Demonstrate accountability
- Answer the question, “Are we doing the right things?”
Your tasks could include:
- Drafting recommendations for senior management
- Monitoring recommendations up to implementation
- Act as a departmental advisor in performance management
