To sell goods or services to the Government of Canada, your business must complete several registration steps.
Step 1: CanadaBuys
Register as a supplier on CanadaBuys, which is the official source for Government of Canada tender notices and contract awards.
Visit CanadaBuys to:
- search for public sector tenders and review contract history
- match opportunities to your business profile
- learn how to follow searches and tender notices
Step 2: CRA business number and SAP Business Network account
- Obtain a Canada Revenue Agency business number to register your business.
- Register for a SAP Business Network account to be awarded a contract.
Step 3: Register in SSC’s Procure-to-Pay system
To participate in SSC tenders, you must:
- Register in P2P: Complete your registration as an SSC supplier by following the P2P Account Assistance Guide.
- Once approved, upload the Registration and Usage Agreement (RUA) to finalize your registration.

Indigenous Business Directory
If your business is at least 51% Indigenous-owned or controlled, consider registering in the Indigenous Business Directory to increase visibility and access to federal procurement opportunities.
