Taxpayers' Ombudsman to better inform Canadians about systemic examinations
News Release
June 10, 2016 - Ottawa, ON - Office of the Taxpayers' Ombudsman
The Taxpayers' Ombudsman, Sherra Profit, wants Canadians to know about the work being done by her office in response to systemic service issues. A systemic examination looks into issues related to services provided by the Canada Revenue Agency that impacts a segment or segments of the population.
In the interest of promoting greater awareness and transparency regarding systemic examinations, the Taxpayers' Ombudsman has published on her website the results of examinations completed recently by her Office. These were examinations started by her predecessor.
The Taxpayers' Ombudsman also invites you to visit the website for up to date information on the launch of any new systemic examination and future systemic examination reports.
These new measures enhance transparency and underline the Ombudsman’s commitment to ensuring that taxpayers and benefit recipients receive excellent service from the Canada Revenue Agency.
