GC Notify - Getting started - Transcription
Welcome to GC Notify, the better way to send service updates to your clients.
To get started you’ll need to create a GC Notify account.
To create an account, visit notification.canada.ca.
Then click “Create an account.” Enter your name, government email address, your mobile number and a secure password.
Once you’ve entered your information, click “Continue”.
A confirmation email will be sent to you. To confirm your account, click the link provided.
Once you’ve confirmed your account, you’ll be asked for a security code which will be sent to you via text message.
Enter the security code here and click “Continue”.
You’ve now created your GC Notify account. Your account will start off in trial mode allowing you to set up your team and test out sending messages before requesting to go live.
Once an account is created, the next thing you’ll do is create a service.
After creating your first service, give your service a name, preferably a bilingual one, and then click “Continue”.
Next, create a bilingual friendly email address for your service. Note that your new email address will use the domain “@notification.canada.ca”, so make sure to keep your departmental policies in mind when creating an email with GC Notify.
Once you’re done creating an email, click “Continue”.
In the final step, you will be asked to select the default language for your service. Select the language of your choice and click “Continue”.
You’ve now successfully created your GC Notify account and your first service.
