Public invited to visit new commemorative exhibit – The Edge of Peace

News release

Ottawa, ON – Veterans Affairs Canada invites you to a new commemorative exhibit—The Edge of Peace. Starting November 4, this multimedia presentation will run throughout Veterans’ Week from dusk until 10:30 p.m., at Confederation Park in Ottawa.

The exhibit consists of several luminous spheres that form a “moonGARDEN”. A 14-minute story reflecting on the price of freedom and fragility of peace is projected in the spheres. Visitors, and Canadians across the country, can virtually participate by texting remembrance messages to 438-800-0471. Messages will go to the Speak Tree, a virtual tree that is displayed in one of the spheres. With each message sent, the tree “grows”.  The Speak Tree can be viewed on Veterans Affairs Canada’s Canada Remembers Facebook page.

Join the conversation on social media using the hashtags #CanadaRemembers and #Canadas100days, or visit veterans.gc.ca/CanadaRemembers.
