Government of Canada invests in women-led business in Manitoba

The Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) is a $2-billion investment that seeks to double the number of women-owned businesses by 2025 by increasing their access to financing, talent, networks, and expertise.
The WES has several key elements, including the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, the WES Ecosystem Fund, and the Women Entrepreneurship Fund. The Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub aims to collect and gather data, with the goal of providing information, data, and best practices for women entrepreneurs. The WES Ecosystem Fund provides funding for mentorship, networking, and skills development through third-party initiatives. The Women Entrepreneurship Fund directly invests in women-owned or -led businesses.
