Ottawa, Ontario, December 8, 2021 - Members of the media are invited to join the Honourable Marci Ien, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth, and the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, for a 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence panel discussion.

Gina Wilson, Deputy Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Youth, at Canadian Heritage will moderate a discussion between community leaders about their vision to address violence against missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals. The event is part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and will highlight the important work of organizations who provide services and supports to Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals.
