Youth engagement on the second State of Youth Report

Young people in Canada are the leaders of today and tomorrow. When they feel their voices are valued and are contributing to change, they are more likely to participate. The Government of Canada is now seeking input from youth living in Canada between the ages of 16 and 29 for inclusion in the second State of Youth Report, to be published in 2025. The State of Youth Reports help us understand the challenges youth face, from finding jobs to accessing mental health support, and outline steps to create better opportunities for the future. The report is based on Canada’s Youth Policy, which reflects the values of young people in Canada and represents a whole-of-government approach aimed at improving youth outcomes and involving young people in federal decision-making.

The first State of Youth Report was published in 2021. Since the report was published, young people in Canada have been navigating a world that has changed dramatically.
