Background

These 5 substances were previously evaluated under the Second Phase of Polymer Rapid Screening, but were classified as requiring further assessment (tannins, humic acid and oxidized starch were identified as having potential human health concerns and  the 2 remaining substances were identified as having potential ecological concerns).
