Combat Training Centre

Headquartered at 5th Canadian Division Support Base in Gagetown in Oromocto (New Brunswick) the Combat Training Centre (CTC) is a formation of the Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre (CADTC).

The CTC’s mission is to support Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) readiness and modernization. It analyzes, develops, and leads individual training to meet the requirements of the Canadian Army (CA) and the CAF. With an aim to provide realistic and relevant training by using modern technologies and learning methodologies, it produces adaptive and agile soldiers and leaders for current and future operating environments.

Approximately 2000 Regular Force members, Primary Reservists, and civilian employees ensure the CTC is a true learning organization. It provides relevant, credible, realistic, demanding, and safe training to meet the needs of the CAF, with the ultimate goal of producing the next generation of high-readiness forces in a transformed and expanded CA.

From simulation systems to individual vehicle and weapon simulators, the CTC uses state-of-the-art technology to enhance soldier and leadership training. Over 600 course serials are conducted and up to 19,000 Regular and Reserve Force students are hosted annually through the various CTC schools.
