Army Learning Support Centre

The Army Learning Support Centre (ALSC)

The Army Learning Support Centre (ALSC) supports the Canadian Army (CA) agenda for modernization as described in Advancing with Purpose: The Canadian Army Modernization Strategy

What we do

The Army Learning Support Centre (ALSC) is a Canadian Army (CA) resource. It helps military personnel with the development and creation of education products. The products are custom-made for the training. These products primarily support individual soldier training, known as Individual Training (IT).

The ALSC researches emerging technologies that can provide the CA with modernized solutions for training needs. The ALSC makes IT education products for both live and virtual training.

Products

Courseware

The ALSC builds courseware for the schools of the Combat Training Centre (CTC). Our Courseware consists of digital education products such as eLearning, mobile apps, and constructive synthetic training environments.

ALSC Courseware operates on an annual project cycle, with a call for project in the spring. The submitted projects are reviewed, then approved projects are schedule for completion.

Courseware created by the ALSC can be Defense Learning Network (DLN) compliant or standalone.
