Chief Warrant Officer Y.M. Drolet

CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER Y.M. DROLET, MMM, CD

Chief Warrant Officer Marc Drolet was born in Val D’Or, Quebec and joined the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a Primary Reserve Combat Engineer, in 1992. In February 1993, CWO Drolet transferred to the Regular Force as a Combat Engineer. After completion of his trade training, he was initially transferred to 2 Combat Engineer Regiment (CER) in Petawawa, Ontario.

CWO Drolet served in several engineer units across Canada. During his career, he served with 2 CER (1993-99), 1 CER (1999-2004), 5e RGC (2007-12 and 2016-18) and 1 EET (2013-14). CWO Drolet also broadened his breadth of experience by serving in other CAF units. He served with the Canadian Forces Recruitment Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia (2004-07), Quebec Area Standards Warrant Officer (2012-13), and the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Center, in Wainwright, Alberta (2014-16 and 2018-21). In 2021, CWO Drolet was appointed as the 1 CER RSM.

CWO Drolet has deployed on numerous expeditionary and domestic operations, including multiple rotations to Latvia with the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre (CMTC), where he supported the delivery of the Integrated Capstone Exercise to the enhanced Forward Presence Battle Groups. Following his deployment as the Task Force Sergeant-Major on Operation UNIFIER in 2023, he was appointed as the 3rd Canadian Division Support Group Sergeant-Major. In August 2025, CWO Drolet assumed the appointment of Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre Sergeant-Major in Kingston, Ontario.

CWO Drolet is married to Natacha. They have three children, Xavier, Jakob, and Ray.
