News release
Six Atlantic companies and organizations showcase smart-energy expertise at Enlit Europe 2025
November 20, 2025 · Moncton, New Brunswick · Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
Atlantic Canadian clean-technology and smart-energy firms are strengthening international ties this week at Enlit Europe 2025 in Bilbao, Spain, one of the world’s leading gatherings for the power and energy industries. The event connects utilities, innovators, and policymakers from across the globe who are driving the shift to cleaner, smarter energy systems.
Led by Smart Grid Innovation Network Canada (SGIN) and supported through the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Agreement (ATIGA), the mission brings together six Atlantic Canadian energy companies and organizations to open doors to new markets and partnerships across Europe. Participants are engaging in targeted meetings, taking part in a site visit highlighting emerging technologies, and helping host the Canadian reception to showcase Atlantic Canada’s clean-energy expertise.
The mission is helping companies generate qualified leads, expand their networks, and pursue new opportunities for growth both abroad and at home. Building on Atlantic Canada’s growing reputation as a hub of clean-energy innovation, companies across the region are advancing new approaches in grid management, battery storage, hydrogen integration, and digital monitoring technologies. Enlit Europe provides a global stage to demonstrate how these solutions are driving decarbonization worldwide while creating new business opportunities for the Atlantic economy.
The Government of Canada and the four Atlantic provinces are working together through ATIGA to strengthen the region’s international presence, help businesses grow and compete globally, and build a stronger, more resilient economy for Atlantic Canadians.
