How to apply
Clients, and their service provider, if applicable, must complete and submit the appropriate application form. The application form provides the CBSA with:
- basic information on the client
- a description of their automated system
- their anticipated volumes
Authorization
A senior officer from the client’s firm (with legal signing authority) should sign and submit the application form.
An agent representing the client’s firm may submit the signed form on the client’s behalf only if it is accompanied by a letter of authorization (on the client's letterhead) signed by the same senior officer that signed the application form

- BSF911: Electronic data interchange (EDI) application for release
- BSF905: Marine export reporting application – Electronic data interchange (EDI)
- Release Notification System (RNS)
