Overland flooding can happen anywhere in Canada, any time of the year. To be #FloodReady this winter, add these tasks to your seasonal list of home maintenance.
Winter Checklist
- Clear ice from outdoor drains and downspouts.
- Remove snow from ground floor doors and window wells
- Check that roof does not have ice dams.
- Make sure basement drains are not blocked or covered up.
